About Us

Born and raised on a York County dairy farm, Preston Chronister learned  the value of hard work and time management very early in his life.  He found that these principles formed a strong foundation for becoming a successful business owner.  Thirty-seven years of experience as a building contractor  has allowed Preston to master his skills and to apply his innate Preston Chronister Jr.creativity to all aspects of his work.  Proof of this is obvious in the design, function, and beauty of all of his projects.  In addition, his attentiveness to detail always ensures a structurally sound, one-of-a-kind result.  Preston takes pride in personally overseeing all phases of every building project, from the initial design to the final product.

Preston Chronister Building and Remodeling is a fully insured and Pennsylvania licensed business.  We employ only the most experienced and trusted local subcontractors.  Of course, these contractors are fully insured and licensed as well.  Preston has also been a member of the York County Builders Association for more than two decades and he served on the board of directors from 1998 to 1999.  Preston remodeled the first floor of a historic home and submitted the project to the York County Builders Association Remodelers Council's annual competition.  He earned their highest award and the title of “Grand Award Winner for Excellence in Residential Interior Specialty Remodeling and Details” for his work.  Preston Chronister Building and Remodeling maintains outstanding marks with the Better Business Bureau as well, receiving their highest rating of “A+” for solid, upstanding business practices.

In addition to Preston Chronister's passion for his work, he also has a passion for his faith, for his family, and for outdoor activities.  His convictions have led him to invest his time and his gifts in the Habitat for Humanity program.  He has volunteered on several of their projects as a supervisor and will continue to serve families in our community through
